CAPRI ISLAND

Visitors to Capri are often surprised by the quantity and variety of walking routes on such a small island. Along these pathways, tourists can choose to immerse themselves in the authentic atmosphere of a coastal village; explore the marine caves; walk through masses of sheer rock and peer over precipices which drop dramatically into the sea; or stroll through the centre of Capri with its ostentatiously luxurious boutiques, elegant hotels, artists studios, churches, and the remains of Roman villas.
Anacapri is the highest part of the island of Capri, Anacapri still maintains a quite idyllic dimension of which, in the past, attracted a host of French and British artists.
The natural beauty of Anacapri is one of the most appealing attractions of the area: the flora consists of a vast number of plant species, both indigenous and imported, including subtropical species as agave and euphorbia.
Piazza Vittoria in Anacapri is the starting point for numerous itineraries through the highest part of the island of Capri. To get to Monte Solaro there is the chairlift which, in 12 minutes, carries passengers to the summit, or one can go by foot following the road Via Salita per il Solaro which commences from Via Axel Munthe.

MARINA GRANDE
Stepping off from the ferries or hydrofoils, you will find yourself  in Marina Grande, where you will find the public beach of Marina Grande (the island’s largest).

MARINA PICCOLA
15 minutes from the Piazzetta on the south side of the island of Capri lies the bay of Marina Piccola.
The bay is now part of an extremely fashionable area, with a number of popular bathing spots; and during the summer boats sail back and forth carrying passengers between the small wharf of the Scoglio delle Sirene and the Faraglioni rocks.

FARAGLIONI
The Faraglioni , the most important symbol of Capri are three rocky peaks which jut out of the sea have survived coastal landslides, erosion by the sea and atmospheric corrosion.
The rocks have each been given a name: the first, still attached to  land, is called Stella, the second, separated from the first block by a stretch of sea; Faraglione di Mezzo and the third, Faraglione di Fuori or Scopolo, meaning the head or promontory stretching into the sea.
The height of the Faraglioni is, about, 100 meters. The  Faraglione di Mezzo is characterized by a cavity, a natural tunnel which has become famous throughout the world.

BLU CAVE
Blue Grotto is known throughout the world for its size, the intense blue tones of its interior and the magical silvery light which emanates from the objects immersed in its waters.

In order to enter the Blu Grotto, visitors  must climb aboard small rowing boats, andare obliged to lie down in the boat whilst passing in to the cave. Once inside, it’s possible to bath.
